Indianapolis, you brought style, power and wisdom.
A physician in the room told us what it felt like to finally find a financial advisor she trusted.
“I don’t feel patronized. He explains things. I am in medicine; he’s clearly in finance – and I don’t feel talked down to. I should have stepped away from the first two the instant I met them. In my thirties and forties, I sort of let these guys have a little bit frat, bro kind of mentality. And I let that be okay.”
What makes the relationship work?
“I can have these conversations without my husband there.”
Andrea Liebross CEO and Founder of She Thinks Big and our anchor host in Indianapolis, experienced our Boston Salon and knew we had to come to her city. She framed the moment: “So many of us carry questions about wealth and money and how to create it and what to do with it. And do we have the power to do things? And who do we go to? And do we need guidance? Do we need permission?”
Kathleen Kaplan Blackwelder, VP at Salesforce, executive sponsor of their Women’s Network, and co-host of the Salon, opened the evening with this: “As I watch women get farther in their career, they stop talking and they stop asking the questions because they think they should already know the answer.”
Successful women. Silencing themselves. Because the permission was never granted.
Another woman in the room put it plainly: “We don’t trust our gut on investing in our values. We trust our gut on everything else – our family, building our businesses – but we don’t trust our gut when it comes to putting the money where it counts.”
This is what I keep seeing city after city on the Freedom Tour. The gap isn’t knowledge. It’s not access. It’s that the spaces to think out loud, ask the real questions, and stand in both your greatness and your curiosity – those spaces are rare.
The Wealth Catalyst Summit on May 14th in New York is that space.
No keynotes. No workshops. No celebrities telling you what they did when they already had a billion dollars. Peers on stage. Real conversations. Women who are building, deploying, and thinking about capital the same way you are.
If you’ve been in the room with us this year – hashtag#Indianapolis, hashtag#Cincinnati, hashtag#Columbus, hashtag#Chicago – you’ve felt the shape of it.
The Summit is where we catalyze.
