Las Vegas. You are a place of new beginnings.
Hosted by my Stanford University Graduate School of Business classmate Jennifer Mae Luft, in her beautiful new home, in a new city with fairly new friends we jumped in and got deep, quickly. I am honored to have women like Jennifer in my life championing the Wealth Catalyst mission across the country.
The most incredible shares opened up last night. A few that stood out the most:
“I feel like I have the best of both worlds right now, and I’m capitalizing on that as much as I can.”
“I was able to capitalize eight really tumultuous years at Tesla… it has afforded me to purchase four homes outside of my corporate life within seven years and additional revenue as well.”
“I’m really curious about retirement and compound interest. I don’t fully have my head wrapped around it, but there’s a scenario where I never have to work again, and I’m just trying to be like, is that one hundred percent accurate?”
There were tears, laughter and joy.
There were also tons of conversations around transitions. What does life after corporate look like? Do I want to retire?
Its one of the reasons we are doing table topic this Summit and one of those topics is Retirement & Next Chapters (Thanks Pam Kostka, for emphasizing the importance of this as well).
For me, the biggest takeaway was the need for trusted rooms( jen randle [she/her] has a lot of great insights around this). So many women left telling me how seen they felt and how the container of trust expanded so much for them. I’m honored that our salons are a trusted space for women to share how they are approaching money together.
Thank you Las Vegas!
